Nobody said it was easy...

As i write this down Coldplay is ringing in my ears...

Nobody said it was easy

No one ever said it would be so hard

And i think its so true.. For everything. In every turn of life you're faced with two choices A or B and what you choose decides the course of your life. But in the darkest moments of your life you think what if i'd chosen A and not B, how different would my life be? Or is it that no matter what we choose ultimately we'll be where we are destined to be.

Many times its tempting to take the easy way out but you know in your heart that the right thing to do is to go the harder way. So yes Life aint easy ! But the thing to do is to stand up and brace the fact that its not gonna be easy. Bad times are followed by good times and then bad times and so on. Its the circle of life. Many times the bad times wont even be so bad and they'll pass. The important thing is for you to hold your ground and not to lose it no matter what.

Many times you may feel like giving up cos what you really want is not coming to you, you'll get frustrated. But remember what you're not getting now is only cos there's something much better in store for you and its just round the corner. All you need is patience. And believe in the saying that whatever happens happens for the good. Trust me i have experienced this many times.

Have hope. Be positive. Dream on..

Duped !!

The other day i was walking along the busy Main Street with my gal pal and up came a small boy with a shoe brush and polish in hand asking if he could polish our shoes for just 2 rupees. Since we both were wearing sandals which couldnt be polished i offershowed him the money. He vehmently denied saying he wont accept charity. Impressed with his pride and crisp english i asked him to just brush off the dust off my sandals and gave him the money.Meanwhile he struck a conversation. He said, "Do you know why i dont do good buisiness, cos i dont have a shoe box. If you buy me one i'll do good buisness". Bowled over by his sincere looks and innocent charm i said fine lets buy you one but didnt know where to find one. He said its available just round the corner.

As we walked to the place i asked him several things like where he learnt to speak such good english and his family background and all. He was ten years old studying in an english medium school and travelled everyday ten kms to Main Street to earn money. He taught his kid sister ( who didnt attend school ) in his spare time. In between i had my doubts over him thinking that i was being taken for a ride but on the way when i offered to buy him ice cream and he refused saying he just wanted the box, my doubts cleared and i got him the ice cream anyway.

Once we reached the place, I haggled a bit with the guy who had the boxes and bought him a box. He thanked me sincerely and we went our separate ways. After roaming around a bit and having shopped to my heart's content, on my way back, i saw the kid giving the box back to the shopkeeper and exchanging money with a sly smile on his face and i realised i got DUPED !!
